Every cook needs a few tricks and tools to help make a recipe fantastic.
I have 4 favorite items I want to share in my post today.
1) The first is a Fleur de sel - Sea Salt. I use it as a finishing salt on top of roasted vegetables, roast chicken right after it comes out of the oven and grilled steak. This is not a salt to be used during the cooking process but instead it is a valuable finishing salt.
Quick Tip - If you have done your best on a dish and you feel it’s a bit flat - this salt will help deliver great results.

2) My next kitchen favorite is Veal Demi-Glaze. It is the perfect companion for sauces stews and soups. One large tablespoon will deliver intense richness and flavor to any dish. No need to use a high sodium bouillon.

3) Next - I love and rely on Herbs de Provence in almost all my dishes when dried herbs are used. Soups, stews and sautés. It is just the perfect accent to help your recipes bloom. Use it for meat fish and vegtables.

4) My last favorite item is something I keep in the freezer and use when cooking an elegant chicken, hen or vegetable dish. Duck fat. It is highly underrated in most kitchens. I recommend getting a container and keeping on hand for when you are entertaining or preparing holiday meals. You won’t regret it!
