Grilled Romaine Wedges with Dressing

A treat for times when your tired of boring lettuce salads.

To prepare - cut whole Romaine heads in half and half again. Light your grill or use a grill pan on your stove top.

Sprinkle a little vegetable oil or olive oil over your lettuce wedges - then lightly sprinkle salt and black pepper over the top.

Place the wedges face down on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes, turning and cooking on the other side. Be careful not to overcook as the wedges may get too soft and begin to fall apart. They will still taste good but you might loose your wedge cut.

When you have the desired char - plate and top your wedges immediately with a balsamic style dressing, maybe some toasted nuts or even toasted bread crumbs, croutons, Gorgonzola or even a goat cheese.

You can experiment with a good quality bottled caesar dressing and finish with croutons and grated Parmesan cheese.

Try to serve while warm.

ENJOY!!
